AIM: The aim of Dolphins is for kids to have fun while learning more sailing skills with other kids.

PURPOSE: Dolphins teaches kids skills to prepare them for afternoon club racing. Some children may only need one term in Dolphins, others may need several before they begin racing.

WHO: Usually to join Dolphins, kids have completed Tackers 1 and Tackers 2 courses or can demonstrate basic skills sailing in a Sabot. Dolphin sailors are Junior members of DPSS which cost $55 and pay $10 each Sunday or $90 for the 11 weeks. The Dolphins' program is run by experienced members and instructors. Families are encouraged to get involved with the club.

WHEN: Dolphins' Junior training takes place on Sunday mornings 8:30-11:30am. Training takes place from Sunday 12 September to 5 December excluding 26 Sept and 3 Oct.

BOATS: Dolphins takes place in Sabots, of which the club has a few for new sailors. Families are encourage to look at purchasing their own Sabots after one term in Dolphins.
